Hearthstone is a free-to-play online strategy card game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, built upon the already existing lore of Warcraft.
Available on several devices, Hearthstone is the only game from Blizzard available on mobile.
We have launched an Instagram channel around the game universe, with the goal to make the experience bigger part of the followers’ daily life and to be where the players are. I am working on this project as the main creative, combining my photography and editing skills, creating exclusive pictures, cinemagraphs and videos, based on Hearthstone expansions and adventures and players’ lifestyle, playing around with artworks, teasing about expansions and sharing a lot of fun.
CONCLUSION | A strategy based on players' lifestyle
The Instagram channel has organically reached 200k followers in less than two years. Following the social media trends, using the different app features such as stories, while promoting content around new expansions and sharing new game features has been deeply appreciated around the gamers community. More and more comments from players focusing on the game, reacting to the new content shared and vivid reaction on local and global events we are featuring. A success story!
