Developed by 1939 Games, an indie game development studio based in Reykjavík, Iceland,
KARDS is a digital strategy card game combining traditional collectible card game gameplay with innovative mechanics
inspired by classic strategy games and real battlefield tactics,
where you take command and challenge other players in grand-scale warfare on the ground, air, or seas.
I have been working on revamping the Alpha version of the game to the final design for launch, focusing on the 1st player experience and key screens for a friendly user experience,
creating in-game content such as cardbacks and UI elements, and designing new features and screens for additional content to the game.
On the communication and marketing side, I have worked on targeted campaigns and publishing content,
as well as creating media content for social platforms and broadcast videos expressing the game's identity.
While the shop offer grows bigger and bigger with each new expansion launch,
it was necessary to rethink the design of these screens to offer a better navigation and user journey to access the various items available
and keep everything organized.
Examples of cardbacks created for the launch of new expansions, addition of new factions into the game,
or specific events such as world championships.
Creation of various screen overlays used during live events streamed on Youtube and Twitch,
such as the world championships, to ensure a proper immersion into the game at each step and key content.
Assets creation for Steam, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Instagram
sharing information about new expansions, events, giveaways, roadmaps, dev discussions, etc.
